WOOD FLOORING - ASH

SELECT YOUR GRADE

The Timberwise selection covers different grade options that indicate the extent to which the wood’s own patterns and knots are visible in the board. This is a key part of the floor selection process, and requires particular attention:

> ASH SELECT: this grade is carefully selected, calm and generally even-coloured and almost knot-free. This harmonic grade is allowed to include natural colour variation caused by grain pattern as well as healthy, light-coloured pin knots. Filled knots, as well as knot patches, are allowed within the grade.

> ASH NATURAL: this grade is characterised by knottiness and significant colour variations. The colour of larch naturally varies from a light yellowish tone to a reddish colour. Filled knots, as well as round knot patches and oval patches, are allowed within the grade.

> ASH VINTAGE: In the VINTAGE grade the wood’s natural grain pattern, significant colour variations, and – in addition to natural knots – knots and cracks that are filled with dark filler, as well as round and oval knot patches, are allowed / present. The colour varies naturally from a light yellowish tone to reddish colour, and the rustic appearance of the grade evens out the variation.
